By Overnight Train (Most convenient and popular option):

  • Udaipur (UDZ) to Mathura (MTJ) or Agra (AGC): Direct overnight trains are available from Udaipur City.
  • To Mathura: Trains like the Mewar Express (12964) or UDZ KURJ EXP (19666, to Bharatpur Jn, which is very close to Mathura) depart Udaipur in the evening and arrive in Mathura early morning (approx. 10-12 hours journey). This allows you to start your sightseeing on Day 1 immediately upon arrival.
  • To Agra: Direct trains like UDZ KURJ EXP (19666) or ASV AGC SPL (01920) can take you directly to Agra Cantt (AGC) in about 11-12 hours overnight. This could be an alternative if you prefer to start with Agra first.
  • Estimated Cost (one-way): Sleeper Class (SL): ₹350-₹500; 3A AC: ₹950-₹1,400; 2A AC: ₹1,400-₹1,900.
  • Advantage: Saves daylight travel time, allowing for full days of sightseeing.

Day 1

Udaipur to Gokul Mathura – Arrival & Initial Exploration

  • Your journey begins with your chosen mode of transport from Udaipur .
  • By Flight: Take an early morning flight from Udaipur to Delhi (DEL) or Agra (AGR). Flights to Delhi are more frequent and generally more economical. Upon arrival, you will be met by a tour representative and transferred by private air-conditioned vehicle to Mathura (approx. 3-4 hours from Delhi, 1 hour from Agra).
  • By Train: Board an overnight train from Udaipur Junction to Agra||Mathura Junction (MTJ). You will arrive at Mathura in the morning of Day 1. Upon arrival, you'll be transferred to your hotel.
  • Hotel Check-in & Freshen Up: Check into your pre-booked hotel in Mathura or Vrindavan.
  • Gokul Nand Bhawan Temple - dedicated to Krishna's foster father, Nanda Maharaj.
